Case Scenario

A case scenario is in which a teacher enters the classroom, introduces herself, and starts to give instructions and information content to the students who remain passive listeners. The students take notes and memorize the content taught without questioning the teacher or the content.

Two Instructional strategies used in a didactic environment

  1. Lecture method. The lecture teaching method is the most commonly used didactic teaching approach. It is teacher and content-oriented in which the teacher works as the only resource in classroom instruction (Soper, 2017). The effectiveness of lectures in supporting didactic learning includes its ability to disseminate foundational knowledge efficiently as the lecturers help students to obtain knowledge of basic facts, simple concepts, and terms. Also, lectures offer control and consistency as they are monologues. The teacher controls the pace and the content. This allows for the effective delivery of crucial information. Further, lectures allows the teachers to demonstrate academic skills, approaches, and dispositions, helping in modeling their attitudes and behaviors (Soper, 2017)…Please click the icon below to purchase full answer at only 5
