Part II: Using Microsoft Word 2013, create the summary paper for the assignment. Include a title page with your name, date, and course information, as well as a reference page.The summary paper must be concisely written and no more than two pages in length, excluding the title and reference pages. A minimum of two peer-reviewed scholarly sources, current within 5 years, are required. Sources older than five years may not be used without the permission of the class professor. No direct quotes may be used in this assignment. First person tense may be used for this assignment.

My name is xx and I am currently studying to become a nurse educator. I am currently working as a registered nurse. I have been working as a registered nurse for over ten years now. Currently, I am pursuing my master’s degree in Nursing Education at the Chamberlain University College of Nursing. In this course, I have learned the importance of effective leadership styles and understanding of the complex systems that we work in. In this write-up, I will focus on my personal leadership style and change advocacy statement.

Statement of Personal Leadership Style

I consider transformational leadership to be my personal leadership style. In the healthcare setting, leadership style affects patient outcomes via factors such as organizational culture, communication, teamwork, and staff engagement (Fischer, 2017). Therefore, leaders have to be aware of their leadership behaviors and styles and how these impact on their subordinate nurses. I have noted that transformational leadership style is rather effective in the nursing profession, mainly because of the dynamic nature of the profession and practice. Transformational leadership is drawn from the concept of transforming leadership. The theory of transformational leadership holds that a leader should have certain behaviors, a certain set of competencies, and characteristics to promote positive change (Fischer, 2017).
