My initial reaction would be to show appreciation towards the novice educator for taking her/ his time to review the course and bringing forth the thoughts. I would expect these thoughts to be about improving the course. I would also explain to the educator the importance and benefits of what he or she doing in improving not only the course but also the program and institution’s outcomes. My collaborative relationship between me, the course leader, and the novice educator would involve discussing the current course and its outcomes and how it helps achieve the program and learner outcomes. I would listen to the educator’s thoughts concerning the areas that need change while noting down the major points.
