Purpose

The purpose of this direct care project is for learners to apply the nursing process to a community health problem determined by their observations and data collected of vulnerable populations in their community. This is Part 4 of 4 in the Direct Care Project.

4. Interpretation of results

I presented my topic on substance abuse, particularly opioid abuse, to three attendees who completed the pre and post-survey questionnaire. At pre-survey, the attendees had lower knowledge levels about opioid abuse and related health problems and intervention. They marked neither agree nor disagree, disagree or strongly disagree in all areas except for 2 who marked agree for “I believe this health problem is an issue in our community” and “I am interested in this health problem and proposed solution.” However, a significant change is noted at post-survey where the attendees mostly marked strongly agree and agree in all areas except for item 6 “I am familiar with ways to improve this…..Please click the icon below to purchase full answer at only $10
