Thinking back over this course, what were the three most important or most interesting things you learned? How do you envision using the information you learned in your future nursing practice? What steps will you take to ensure your success in the master’s program?

Solution:

As the course comes to an end, it is with no doubt that I have acquired a wide range of skills and knowledge related to nursing practice. As such, I feel that I am now better positioned to provide the best available care to the patients. Thinking back over this course,  the three most important and most interesting things that I have learned are; Roles of advanced practice nurses, patient-centered care, and practice issues in nursing. In regards to the roles of advanced practice nurses, I have learned in this course that there are four main APAN roles. These are certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA), certified nurse-midwife (CNM), clinical nurse specialist (CNS); and CNP as classified by the Consensus Model for APN regulation. Each of these APN roles plays a fundamental role when it comes to enhancing positive patient outcomes.
