A leading cause of healthcare mortality rates are malpractices which refer to the failure by healthcare providers to execute their professions according to the required standards of practice and following the recommended procedures. Common medical malpractices include misdiagnosis, medication errors, birth injuries, anesthesia mistakes, surgical errors, negligence, failure to implement the informed practice, and delayed diagnosis (Asadi, Beigi, Valiani, & Mardani, 2017). To address these claims which result to increase patient complaints and grievances, reduced the competitive advantage of the organization, and legal suits, a strategic plan is required. Taking three major malpractices including misdiagnosis, medication errors, and negligence, the strategic plan involves following up on these aspects and taking legal action for the involved medical practitioners, putting in place a culture to address this situation and training and development of the medical practitioners with regards to these issues.
