According to Molloy (2013), both Carl Gustav Jung and William James played a fundamental role in explaining the religious theories that help in understating the existing religions across the world.  In this view, Carl Gustav Jung considered religion as a natural collection of the collective unconscious. Taking this into account, he had subscribed to the school of thought that religion was beneficial to society. Therefore, from his point of view, there was a substantial need to ensure that religion stays forever (Kim, 2016). Carl Gustav Jung had also believed that religion was one of the primary ways of aiding the process of individuation.
